This is a unique Rosewood Zither made in Germany, with six chords and a double course of strings like a twelve string guitar or hammered dulcimer. This is an unquestionably beautiful instrument, and not for the faint-hearted: tuning is unusual, touchy and there are 92 strings! Tuned to the Water Element (Platonic Solids) in B over two octaves: B - C# - D# - F# - A#. The sux chords of seven notes each are B major and F# major. Unusually bright, beautiful and ethereal. There is one crack on the front soundboard, not unusual for an antique of this age, but it has been stabilized. Ideally the new owner will have some musical background to fully exploit this instrument - a true show stopper!
