This is a unique Rosewood Zither made in Germany, with six chords and a double course of strings like a twelve string guitar or hammered dulcimer. This is an unquestionably beautiful instrument, and not for the faint-hearted: tuning is unusual, touchy and there are 92 strings! Tuned to the Cosmic Chord in B over two octaves: B - C# - D# - F# - G#. The chords retain the original tuning, but at 1/2 step down to align with the B scale. Unusually bright, beautiful and ethereal. There is one crack on the front soundboard, not unusual for an antique of this age, but it is stable. Ideally the new owner will have some musical background to fully exploit this instrument - a true show stopper!
